Mode of Action

When applied directly to the site of bleeding CELOX™ Granules:-

Absorb fluid from the blood cells to form a viscous gel-like plug
Exhibit a level of mucoadhesion to the surrounding tissue which keeps the gel-plug in place
Create an environment which allows clot formation under the gel-plug
Naturally breaks down through enzyme degradation (lysozyme) into glucosamine, which is excreted from the body via lochia / menstrual fluids
